The Word of God is an unchanging thing that you can tether your soul to in these changing and perilous times. Thirdly, the Lord’s church is an unchanging institution. You know, the church is an ancient institution. We read of its beginning in Acts 2. The events of that chapter took place on a Sunday morning in Jerusalem about 1, years ago. Even Jesus’ words are unchanging for He said that “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away (Matt ) [for] the word of the Lord remains forever” (1 Pet ). The fact is that “the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever” (2 John ).

A vision statement, “Faithful to God’s unchanging Word, in our ever changing world.” This vision statement depict how we as a Youth Department will at all cost, live our lives according to God’s faithful word, despite the pace of our ever changing world. The book would benefit with questions at the end of each chapter for discussion. I imagine a missions committee or small group discussing the chapters in the book each week. Each chapter would be a great discussion starter for churches to evaluate past mission experiences and plan for future missions encounters. I recommend that you put Changing World Unchanging .

The Unchanging God in a Changing World. -an addendum is a section of new material that is added after the first edition or first printing of a book. The author may be correcting something in the original book, updating the information in the book, or providing an explanation for the author's work. Christ is the “propitiation. Changing Churches is a unique and critical look at the different types of churches, church members, and those coming in, as well as those going! I personally love chapter 9, Ideas for the Shepherds! The authors insights and ideas are priceless!/5.

Some like it that way; it’s good to hang on to traditions. But doesn’t it say something rather frightening, that the whole society can be changing, and the church does not respond.

These are all questions addressed by Dr. David Sills in his new book, Changing World, Unchanging Mission: Responding to Global Challenges. The purpose of this book is to explore the challenges of the changing world in the context of faithful Gospel proclamation/5(11).

Changing World, Unchanging Mission is an excellent read. Sills examines recent changes and trends within missions and global realities that will affect missions in the decades to come.

The book is most relevant, in my opinion, to those interested in going as missionaries, missions strategists, mission agency leaders, and church staff members /5.

The Catholic Church is not a social club with arbitrary rules and regulations. She is not a political entity that seeks to protect Her power by compromising with competing factions.
